I was just informed about the new Foo Fighters song and video WHITE LIMO.
I grew up an avid FOO fan, but lost track of them after they toned down their sound and started releasing primarily lame material. They've had some killer moments along the way, but nothing quite compared to the original self-titled release or the abundance of substance on The Colour & The Shape.
D. Grohl has made comments about the next FOO next album, WASTING LIGHT, being "their heaviest yet," well according to the video, this statement might be true. A vicious return to form. I am psyched. There aren't many great rock n' roll bands in the mainstream nowadays, but the Foo Fighters are carrying a well-lit torch.
The video itself is top-notch. Check it.

An Ode To The Hour
I've always been a really big fan of TIME. I was once notorious for having one of the most putrid and pasty watch tans North of the equator.
Sections of time are relevant to everything we do. Some may believe it would be nice to live in a timeless world. A world where one can roam free and without worry of any kind of organizational constraint. I can relate to certain aspects of this idea. However, this outlook is and always has been ASENINE.
Due to the fact that we are beings amongst beings amongst the Universe, TIME IS A NECESSITY.
The primal days of yore saw humans relying upon nature to guide them through a routine. These schedules became essential, and the misfortune of breaking these standards could result in DEATH. Over the span of human existence, the measurement of time has been refined to make our lives more efficient and reasonable.
I enjoy TIME. I enjoy minutes, seconds, days, months, years, and decades, but most important to me is THE HOUR.
You can get a lot done in an hour. Buy some cd's, chomp a burger, walk the block, etc. I have utmost respect for this section of time. I am not putting down the other measurements, seeing that they are all integral to each other, but I REALLY DIG THE HOUR.
Next time you're driving to work, sitting in a chair, or complaining about something, take a moment to reflect on how TIME has positioned you.
TIME RULES.

Lady Antebellum - Artist Of The Year
The bar I was at last night was playing the 2011 Grammy awards on every screen. A completely bogus occasion, save for the Dylan/Avett performance. Like most mainstream events, the Grammy Awards do not thoroughly represent the REAL DEAL.They never will. Many of the great artists will never get recognized at the Grammys, maybe because they don't have enough money. This is flawed. BAR-NONE.
Anyways, I was surfin' the youtube earlier and ran across the video below. Death-metal greats ENTOMBED playing at the Swedish Grammy awards. Entombed are without-a-doubt past their prime, but still knock out some solid jams. This performance reflects a less-edgy side of the band, and nonetheless kills. Ballet dancers? To-the-point, Entombed performing at the Grammys. Not Lady Antebellum. DEATH METAL LEGENDS.
Get in the picture you corporate slimeballs.
